Day 21: The Life of Fasting

Scripture
Isaiah 58:6,8
Is not this the fast that I have chosen?
to loose the bands of wickedness, to undo the heavy burdens,
and to let the oppressed go free, and that ye break every yoke? Then shall thy light break forth as the morning, and thine health shall spring forth speedily: and thy righteousness shall go before thee; the glory of the LORD shall be thy rereward.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
Seasons of fasting are seasons of encountering God's glory.
MESSAGE
Fasting is a spiritual discipline that draws us closer to God and positions us for the manifestation of His glory. In Isaiah 58:6, 8, God reveals the transformative power of fasting: it breaks yokes, sets captives free, and ushers in divine light and glory. When we fast, we deny the flesh to prioritize spiritual intimacy.
It is not just abstinence from food but a deliberate effort to seek God. Fasting aligns our hearts with God's will and opens the heavens over our lives. It is a time to engage in fervent prayers and intercession, releasing divine breakthroughs.
As we embrace the discipline of fasting, burdens are lifted, health
is restored, and the glory of God is revealed. Let this season of fasting mark a turning point in your walk with God as you step into realms of glory.
