Day 19: Becoming God’s Willing Vessel of Glory

Scripture
2 Cor 4:7
But we have this treasure in earthen vessels, that the excellency of the power may be of God, and not of us.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
To be a vessel of glory, you must be willing to be emptied of self and filled with God's power.
MESSAGE
In 2 Corinthians 4:7, Paul tells us that we have a great treasure (the glory of God) in fragile earthen vessels. This treasure is not meant for us to keep but for us to pour out to the world. To be a vessel of glory, we must be willing to be emptied of ourselves so that we can be filled with God's power and glory.
Being a vessel of glory requires humility and willingness. God desires to use you as a carrier of His glory, but He cannot fill a vessel that is already full of self. It is when we empty ourselves of pride, self-will, and ambition that God's glory can fill us to overflow.
Are you willing to be God's vessel of glory today? Are you ready to be emptied of self so that His glory can fill your life and radiate to the world? When you become a willing vessel, God's glory will not only be manifested in you but will also flow through you to others.
KEY POINTS ON BEING A VESSEL OF GLORY:
- Empty Yourself of Self:
Only when we are empty of self can God fill us with His
glory. 2 Corinthians 4:7. - Humility Makes Room for Glory:
Humility and willingness to serve are key to being a vessel of glory. James 4:6. - God Uses Empty Vessels:
When you are willing and yielded, God will pour His glory into your life. Romans 9:21.
REFLECTION
- Surrender yourself fully to God today, asking Him to
empty you of all self and fill you with His glory. - Pray, “Lord, I yield myself to You as a willing vessel of
Your glory. Use me for Your purposes this year.”
PRAYER
- Father, I yield myself as a vessel for Your glory. Empty me of myself and fill me with Your power and presence.
- I surrender all to You, and I ask that Your glory will manifest through me in Jesus' Name. Amen.
DAILY PURPOSE NOTE
Becoming a willing vessel of God's glory requires surrender. Empty yourself and allow Him to fill you with His power and glory.
