Day 18: Following The Will of God

Scripture

Matt 6:10

Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.

“Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is.” Ephesians 5:15-17

“For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.” John 6:38

THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

God's glory is manifested in the lives of those who surrender their will to His and align themselves with His divine purpose.

MESSAGE

To walk in God's glory, it is essential to follow His will. God's glory does not just appear automatically; it is attracted by our obedience to His instructions. Matthew 6:10 shows us that God's will is central to His kingdom and that we are called to bring His will to pass on earth. Jesus Himself modeled this perfectly in John 6:38, saying, “For I came down from heaven, not to do my own will, but the will of him that sent me.” In the same way, we are called to live in surrender to God's will.

Our lives should be dedicated to doing His will, not our own. When we follow His will, we align ourselves with His purpose, and in that alignment, His glory is revealed.

Ephesians 5:15-17 warns us to be careful how we live, making the most of every opportunity because the days are evil. It calls for wisdom in discerning God's will for our lives. God's will is not always the easiest path, but it is always the path that leads to His glory. When we surrender our will to God, we create an atmosphere for His glory to manifest in our lives. His glory is not just an abstract concept; it is the tangible presence and power of God that affects every aspect of our lives—our health, finances, relationships, and destiny.

The key to experiencing the fullness of God's glory is obedience to His will. Surrendering our desires, plans, and ambitions to His purpose allows Him to work in and through us. The more we yield to His will, the more His glory is revealed in our lives.
