Scripture Focus
Romans 6:4
“Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
Teaching Message
The resurrection of Jesus Christ did not merely restore life—it inaugurated a new order of existence for all who identify with Him. When Christ arose from the grave, He released a life that is superior, uncontainable, and full of divine authority. This life is now resident in every believer and is designed to transform the way we live, influence, and impact the world around us.
Romans 6:4, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”
This scripture reveals that resurrection life is experiential. It is not a distant reality; it is a present power. Believers are called to walk in the newness of life, which means a life governed by spiritual laws rather than natural limitations. Your past, your failures, and your old nature are buried. You now operate from a position of supernatural authority.
The post-resurrection life is also characterized by freedom. Christ’s triumph over death liberated humanity from bondage to sin, fear, and limitation. As a participant in this resurrection life, you are no longer subject to the constraints of the natural realm. You are free to exercise dominion, release supernatural influence, and enforce God’s will on earth as it is in heaven.
Colossians 3:1-2, “If ye then be risen with Christ, seek those things which are above, where Christ sitteth on the right hand of God. Set your affection on things above, not on things on the earth.”
Walking in resurrection life requires a focus on the eternal and the spiritual. Your consciousness must be aligned with the realities of heaven, not the limitations of the world. Every thought, action, and word should reflect the authority and life of the risen Christ within you.
This life also equips the believer to overcome opposition. The power that raised Jesus from the dead resides in you. It is a life that cannot be contained by obstacles, challenges, or attacks. Every area of limitation is now subject to the dominion of Christ in you.
Ephesians 1:19-20, “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places.”
Your resurrection life is a life of authority. It positions you above fear, sickness, stagnation, and defeat. It equips you to enforce God’s will on earth, demonstrate His power, and manifest His glory through your life.
Philippians 3:10, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”
The fellowship of resurrection life is not passive. It calls for engagement. You must yield to the Spirit, act in faith, and walk in obedience to see the power of resurrection expressed practically. Every step taken in alignment with Christ’s authority manifests the Kingdom in the natural realm.
Furthermore, resurrection life transforms identity. You are no longer defined by weakness, fear, or past limitations. You are a new creation. You are seated in heavenly places. You carry the authority to influence outcomes, release blessing, and establish God’s will in every area of your life.
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
Your life is now a platform for the demonstration of God’s glory. Every decision, interaction, and assignment becomes an opportunity to manifest resurrection life. You are a carrier of divine authority, a vessel through which heaven impacts earth.
Believers are also called to extend this life to others. Resurrection life is contagious. As you walk in authority, those around you are lifted, delivered, and transformed. Your life becomes a testimony of God’s power and a demonstration of His Kingdom economy.
Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
This power is the practical expression of resurrection life. It equips you to minister, to lead, to bring healing, and to enforce God’s Kingdom in every sphere of influence. It is life that moves from the spiritual into the natural with visible impact.
