Luke 10:19
“Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”
Teaching Message
The resurrection life is not merely about surviving. It is about thriving. It is not only about freedom from death but freedom to operate in the authority of life. Christ’s victory over the grave has positioned the believer to walk in dominion over every challenge, opposition, and limitation. The post-resurrection life is therefore a life of authority, influence, and supernatural oversight over circumstances that once enslaved.
When Jesus rose, He did not return to weakness or limitation. He arose in power. He arose in glory. He arose to continue the assignment of the Kingdom through His disciples. Likewise, the believer is called to participate in this same authority.
Matthew 28:18, “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.”
This declaration reveals that resurrection life carries inherent authority. As the believer identifies with Christ, this authority is transferred. It is not borrowed, temporary, or conditional—it is permanent within the Spirit of God dwelling in us.
The authority of the resurrection life extends over natural and spiritual domains. Believers are positioned to influence outcomes that previously seemed insurmountable. Opposition, sickness, fear, poverty, and limitation are all subjected to the dominion of the Spirit within us.
Mark 16:17-18, “And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; they shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.”
The resurrection empowers the believer to operate in signs, wonders, and miracles. Authority flows naturally from life. Wherever Christ is present, His life brings transformation. Believers are carriers of this life, and the power of the resurrection manifests through obedience, faith, and alignment with God’s purpose.
Acts 1:8, “But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you, and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.”
Power is always connected to purpose. Resurrection life is never idle. It is always productive, always expanding, and always influential. The believer is therefore called to walk in this power daily, operating in the authority of Christ over personal life, community, and the world.
The authority of resurrection life also assures victory in spiritual warfare. The enemy has been defeated, and the believer now acts from a position of strength. Prayer, intercession, and prophetic declaration are not mere routines—they are active exercises of dominion.
Ephesians 1:19-21, “And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, Which he wrought in Christ when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come.”
Resurrection authority is relational and positional. It comes from Christ’s finished work and the believer’s alignment with Him. To walk in this authority, the believer must cultivate spiritual awareness, obedience to the Word, and sensitivity to the Spirit.
Philippians 3:10, “That I may know him, and the power of his resurrection, and the fellowship of his sufferings, being made conformable unto his death.”
The power of resurrection is not theoretical; it is practical. It manifests in daily life through overcoming limitations, demonstrating faith, and releasing Kingdom influence. Every believer is called to live above compromise, mediocrity, and defeat. The post-resurrection life is therefore a life of active engagement with divine authority.
Believers are also called to partner with God in extending His Kingdom. The resurrection life equips the believer to bring deliverance, healing, and restoration wherever they go. Life is not just to be experienced—it is to be deployed for God’s purposes.
John 14:12, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these shall he do; because I go unto my Father.”
This is the mandate of resurrection life: to extend the victory of Christ into every sphere of influence. It is a life of power, authority, and divine demonstration. Every believer is a vessel through which God’s resurrection life operates.
