Teaching Message

If there is one place in all of history where heaven and earth collided with unstoppable force, it is the cross of Christ. The cross is not simply a symbol hanging around someone's neck or mounted on a church wall. It is the altar where the most powerful transaction in existence took place. There, Jesus stood as the representative of every human being who would ever live, and He carried the crushing weight of sin, brokenness, and limitation so that you and I could walk into the reality of divine life and abundance.

Friend, let me say this plainly: redemption is not an unfinished promise waiting to materialize someday. It is a completed transaction. When Jesus cried out those three words from the cross, He was not merely expressing relief that the agony was ending. He was announcing the completion of a divine assignment, a spiritual settlement that decided the destiny of humanity once and for all.

John 19:30, "When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar he said It is finished and he bowed his head and gave up the ghost."

In that moment, the ledger of sin was closed. The stranglehold of darkness was shattered. And a brand-new system was introduced, the economy of the cross, where everything that was forfeited in Adam was fully restored in Christ.

Romans 5:19, "For as by one man's disobedience many were made sinners so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous."

Do you see the principle at work here? Redemption runs on substitution and exchange. Jesus became what we were so that we could become what He is. He stepped into our place so we could step into His position. He shouldered our weakness so we could walk in His strength. He absorbed our shame so we could enter into His glory.

Isaiah 53:4-5, "Surely he hath borne our griefs and carried our sorrows yet we did esteem him stricken smitten of God and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions he was bruised for our iniquities the chastisement of our peace was upon him and with his stripes we are healed."

Nothing about His suffering was accidental. Every pain served a purpose. Every wound unlocked a provision. The cross was a calculated, divinely engineered system designed by God Himself to restore humanity to dominion.

But the cross does more than provide blessings, it establishes identity. You are not defined by your past failures, your ongoing struggles, or your present circumstances. You are defined by what Christ accomplished when He hung between heaven and earth on your behalf. Your life is now a reflection of His finished work.

2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away behold all things are become new."

So here is where it gets personal, beloved: you must begin to live with the awareness of what redemption has already done. You are not trying to become blessed, you already are. You are not working to gain God's acceptance, He has already accepted you. You are not striving for victory, it was already won.

Ephesians 1:3, "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ."

When the reality of the cross settles into your spirit, it shifts everything. You move from struggling to standing in authority. You go from begging God for what is already yours to boldly enforcing what He has already provided. Uncertainty gives way to confidence. Weakness gives way to dominion.

The cross is also the ground on which you have bold, unrestricted access to God. Before redemption, humanity was cut off, separated from the Father by a wall of sin. But through the blood of Jesus, that wall has been demolished and the door stands wide open.

Hebrews 10:19, "Having therefore brethren boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus."

And this access is not something that comes and goes with the seasons. It is not partial or limited to certain hours of prayer. It is continuous, complete, and permanent. You now have the right to approach the throne of God, to receive from His hand, and to walk in unbroken fellowship with Him, free from fear, free from condemnation.

But here is the thing: the economy of the cross calls you to live with intention. It is not enough to simply know that Jesus died. You must understand what His death purchased and then stand on it daily in your own life.

Anything that contradicts the finished work has no legal standing over you. Sickness, fear, limitation, defeat, none of these have a right to occupy a life rooted in the soil of redemption.

Galatians 3:13, "Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law being made a curse for us."

When this truth takes root in you, something rises up on the inside. You begin to speak differently, with confidence instead of doubt. You begin to act differently, with boldness instead of hesitation. You begin to live as someone who knows, deep in their bones, that the price has already been paid in full.

The cross is not a historical relic to be admired from a distance. It is a present, living reality to be demonstrated through your life. Let your life become the evidence that the cross is still speaking.
