Day 334: NOV 30TH: MYSTERIES OF PERSONAL AND CORPORATE ALTAR OF PRAISE
Scripture
2 Chronicles 5:13-14
It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets and cymbals and instruments of music, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord; so that the priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of the Lord had filled the house of God.
DAILY WISDOM
Every altar of praise creates a cloud of glory, and where there is glory, there is victory.
MESSAGE
Every true revival starts at the altar, and an altar filled with praise draws in divine presence. An altar is not just furniture. It is a spiritual gateway connecting heaven and earth. It is where God and humanity meet, where sacrifices rise, and fire falls. Praise is one of the highest sacrifices that can rise from a believer's altar.
A personal altar of praise represents a lifestyle of worship and gratitude that comes from a close relationship with God. It is a private space where you welcome the Holy Spirit daily. When someone builds and maintains this personal altar of praise, they become a carrier of God’s presence. Their environment brims with glory, and their life exudes a supernatural fragrance.
Abraham built altars everywhere he traveled. His son Isaac followed in his footsteps. Jacob built an altar at Bethel after experiencing a divine encounter. These altars served not only for burnt offerings but also for remembrance, communion, and worship. Each altar became a testament to relationship and consistency with God.
In the New Testament, we don’t build altars from stones or wood. We create them with songs, gratitude, and praise. The altar is now internal, not external. John 4:23-24 says, “But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.” The fire of praise must keep burning on the altar of your heart. As long as your inner altar is alive, your spiritual life will remain vibrant.
The corporate altar of praise occurs when believers unite to honor the name of the Lord. This is what happened in 2 Chronicles 5:13-14. When the trumpeters and singers became one, raising their voices in worship, the glory of the Lord filled the house with such intensity that the priests could no longer stand to serve. Unity in praise always brings forth God’s presence in power.
When a church, city, or nation raises a corporate altar of praise, they create a spiritual atmosphere where heaven can express itself on earth. The glory that descended in Solomon’s temple came not from fasting or mourning but from unified corporate praise. This indicates that when the sound of praise ascends together, heaven responds with glory.
Mysteries occur when personal and corporate altars of praise are consistently upheld. Praise shifts atmospheres, invokes angelic activity, and ensures divine intervention. If you keep your altar alive, your life will always have fire. When you maintain your song, you maintain your strength.
Acts 2:1-4 provides another example. “And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.” Notice that unity and anticipation led to divine manifestation. Similarly, when a group gathers in one sound of praise, something occurs in the heavens that logic cannot explain.
The devil fears altars. He opposes consistency because he knows that when your altar of praise is alive, your life will be filled with glory. Your private praise altar determines your public successes. Many desire visible outcomes without maintaining their unseen flames. The fire of glory cannot rest on empty altars.
God is calling His people back to the altar of praise. You must repair your personal altar and revive your corporate altar. In this end-time season, God is raising worshippers, songwriters, and praisers who will foster an atmosphere of glory everywhere. Your home can be filled with glory if you keep it full of songs. Your church can host revival if the sound of praise never ceases. Your life can showcase God’s power if your heart remains a burning altar of thanksgiving.
Let your altar speak once more. Let your praise rise again. The mystery of divine manifestation lies in ongoing praise. Where there is an altar, there is fire; and where there is fire, there will always be glory.
KEY LEARNING POINTS
- EVERY BELIEVER MUST BUILD A PERSONAL ALTAR OF PRAISE.
Psalm 34:1, “I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.”
Your connection with God relies on how consistently you maintain your personal altar. Praise should not be seasonal, but constant.
- THE ALTAR OF PRAISE IS THE MEETING POINT BETWEEN GOD AND MAN.
Psalm 100:4, “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”
Every time you praise, you create a space for divine visitation. Your altar of praise opens the gates to God’s presence.
- CORPORATE PRAISE REVEALS THE GLORY OF GOD.
2 Chronicles 5:13-14, “It came even to pass, as the trumpeters and singers were as one… that then the house was filled with a cloud, even the house of the Lord.”
Unity in praise releases the tangible glory of God. When believers lift one sound, heaven responds with a single cloud of glory.
- PRAISE IS THE FIRE THAT KEEPS YOUR ALTAR ALIVE.
Leviticus 6:13, “The fire shall ever be burning upon the altar; it shall never go out.”
As long as praise continues, the fire of God will keep glowing in your life. A cold altar leads to a cold spirit, but a heart filled with praise remains ablaze with glory.
- THE ALTAR OF PRAISE BRINGS DIVINE INTERVENTION.
Acts 16:25-26, “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God… and immediately all the doors were opened.”
Whenever you lift a sound of praise, heaven moves in your direction. God responds to those whose songs rise continually.
- WHEN THE ALTAR OF PRAISE IS REPAIRED, GLORY RETURNS.
1 Kings 18:30, “And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down.”
Before fire could fall, Elijah first repaired the altar. Similarly, when you restore the altar of praise in your life, the fire of revival will return.
