Day 95: THE POWER OF THANKSGIVING

Scripture
1 Thessalonians 5:18
In everything give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.
DAILY WISDOM
A thankful heart never lacks fresh testimonies—whatever you appreciate multiplies!
MESSAGE
Thanksgiving is a spiritual enigma that calls for heavenly help. Believers frequently concentrate more on pleading and requesting than on thanking God for His actions. However, the Bible teaches that being grateful is God's desire and not an option. You link yourself with the divine goal each time you give gratitude.
It is impossible to overstate the importance of Thanksgiving. It ensures divine presence, perfects benefits, and expands provision. Instead of complaining about the lack of food, Jesus expressed gratitude and multiplication occurred when He needed to feed 5,000 men (John 6:11). Similarly, the leper's cure was complete when he came back to express gratitude (Luke 17:19).
Saying "Thank You, Lord" is not the only way to express gratitude. It is a way of life, a mindset, and a tool for success. Instead of whispering, Paul and Silas prayed and sung praises while they were imprisoned. Their chains suddenly came loose, and the prison doors flew open (Acts 16:25-26).
BENEFITS OF THANKSGIVING
- It Invites God’s Presence
“But thou art holy, O thou that inhabitest the praises of Israel.” – Psalm 22:3
Thanksgiving brings down God’s tangible presence and makes the impossible possible.
- It Multiplies Your Resources
“And when he had given thanks, he distributed to the disciples, and the disciples to them that were set down…” – John 6:11
Complaining reduces, but thanksgiving increases and multiplies.
- It Perfects Your Blessings
“And he said unto him, Arise, go thy way: thy faith hath made thee whole.” – Luke 17:19
What you thank God for is preserved and perfected.
- It Breaks Chains and Opens Doors
“And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God… and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.” – Acts 16:25-26
Thanksgiving is a key that unlocks supernatural breakthroughs.
HOW TO LIVE A LIFE OF THANKSGIVING
- Thank God in All Situations – Not just in good times but also in challenges (Ephesians 5:20).
- Express Gratitude Daily – Make it a habit to count your blessings (Psalm 103:1-5).
- Thank God in Advance – Faith gives thanks before results manifest (John 11:41).
- Use Thanksgiving as a Weapon – When you don’t know what to do, give thanks (2 Chronicles 20:21-22).
