Day 7: Sustaining the Glory
Scripture
Ex 34:29-35
And it came to pass, when Moses came down from mount Sinai with the two tables of testimony in Moses' hand, when he came down from the mount, that Moses wist not that the skin of his face shone while he talked with him.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY
To sustain the glory of God, you must maintain your intimacy with Him through prayer, worship, and obedience.
MESSAGE
The glory of God is something that can be sustained or lost. In the case of Moses, after spending time in God's presence on Mount Sinai, his face radiated with glory.
Exodus 34:29 tells us that Moses was unaware that his face was shining because of the glory of God. However, Moses had to continue seeking God's presence to maintain that glory. To sustain God's glory in your life, you must remain in intimate fellowship with Him. This is through prayer, worship, and obedience to His Word. When you neglect the place of His presence, the glory may begin to fade.
KEY POINTS ON SUSTAINING THE GLORY:
- Continuous Fellowship:
To sustain the glory, you must maintain a consistent relationship with God through prayer, worship, and the Word. - Obedience:
Obeying God's instructions keeps the glory of God fresh in your life. John 14:15. - Guarding Your Heart:
Keep your heart free from sin, bitterness, and pride to retain the glory of God. Proverbs 4:23.
REFLECTION
- Commit to daily intimacy with God through prayer and worship.
- Be intentional about guarding your heart and walking in
obedience to God's Word.
PRAYER
- Father, I thank You for Your glory upon my life.
- I commit to maintaining my relationship with You through constant prayer, worship, and obedience.
- Let Your glory continually rest upon me in Jesus' Name. Amen.
DAILY PURPOSE NOTE
To sustain the glory, stay close to God. Guard your heart and walk in constant obedience to His Word.
DAILY PROPHETIC DECLARATION
As you stay in fellowship with God, His glory will continually shine upon your life, and you will walk in sustained victory in Jesus' Name!
