Day 296: OCT 23RD: THE GOD THAT MAKES ALL THINGS NEW

Scripture
Revelation 21:5
And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.
DAILY WISDOM
God does not just fix broken things; He recreates them into something new, glorious, and lasting.
MESSAGE
It is in God's nature to make things new. He doesn’t take half measures or restore things partially. When God enters the ruins of your life, He doesn’t just make them look better on the outside. He transforms them into something entirely new, filled with His glory and presence.
In Revelation 21:5, He states, “Behold, I make all things new.” These words are not flowery language but firm promises. They are true and trustworthy. This means that no matter how broken, ruined, or hopeless your situation seems, the One who sits on the throne can renew it entirely.
Think about Joseph's story. He was betrayed by his brothers, sold into slavery, wrongfully imprisoned, and forgotten by others. To an outsider, his life appeared to be ruins. But when God intervened, He didn’t just set Joseph free from prison. He made him the prime minister of Egypt. This was not a return to his old life as a shepherd boy. It was a transformation to a new level of glory.
This is how God works. He doesn't take you back to where you were; He moves you forward into what you never thought possible. Isaiah 43:19 says, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.” Notice that He speaks of a new thing, not just fixing the old. He specializes in creating fresh streams in the driest places.
Many people think they can just patch what is broken. They want their marriages fixed, their finances fixed, their ministries fixed, and their health fixed. But God doesn’t patch things. He creates anew. He replaces the garment of shame with the robe of glory, the ashes of sorrow with the oil of joy, and the ruins of failure with victory.
Beloved, your ruins are not the end. They are an opportunity for the God of new beginnings to show His creative power in your life. Stop dwelling on the past. Don’t measure your future by your past experiences. Look up to the One who sits on the throne and hear Him say, “Behold, I make all things new.” If He has said it, it will happen. His words are true and trustworthy.
This should give you confidence: your tomorrow will not be like your yesterday. The ruins will not define who you are. God’s hand will transform you, and the story of your life will reflect divine newness.
KEY LEARNING POINTS
- GOD DOES NOT PATCH; HE RECREATES
Revelation 21:5, “And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new…”
God does not simply patch up old ruins; He recreates destinies into something new, glorious, and eternal.
- DIVINE RESTORATION MOVES FORWARD, NOT BACKWARD
Isaiah 43:19, “Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth…”
When God restores, He does not return you to your previous state. He moves you into new dimensions of glory and blessing.
- GOD’S WORD IS TRUE AND TRUSTWORTHY
Numbers 23:19, “God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it?”
Every promise of newness is reliable because God cannot lie. If He says he will make all things new, He will certainly fulfill it.
- NEW BEGINNINGS COME FROM RUINS
2 Corinthians 5:17, “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
The end of the old marks the start of the new. When Christ enters a life, the ruins vanish, and a new creation begins.
- NEWNESS IS ASSOCIATED WITH ABUNDANCE
Joel 2:26, “And ye shall eat in plenty, and be satisfied, and praise the name of the Lord your God, that hath dealt wondrously with you…”
When God restores, He provides abundantly. Newness means not just having enough, but an overflow.
- NEWNESS INCLUDES PEACE
Philippians 4:7, “And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
Every act of newness comes with God’s peace that protects your heart and mind, regardless of any surrounding troubles.
DAILY PURPOSE NOTE
God does not leave you with patched-up ruins; He gives you a whole new story. Trust Him, expect Him, and accept the new glory He is bringing to your life.
