Day 140: THE EAGLE AND THE RISEN KING

Scripture

Matthew 28:18

And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.

DAILY WISDOM

The eagle doesn’t just survive the storm; it rises from it with renewed strength. Jesus didn’t just endure death—He conquered it and rose with all power in heaven and earth.

MESSAGE

As we continue to soar, let’s reflect on the profound connection between the life and ministry of Jesus Christ and the majestic eagle. The eagle’s flight is a vivid picture of Jesus’ journey, from His death to His glorious resurrection, ascension, and beyond.

Just as the eagle flies to the highest heights, leaving the storm behind, so did Jesus. His death on the cross was like the storm—violent, dark, and seemingly impossible to overcome. But just as the eagle uses the storm to rise higher, Jesus used His death to secure victory over sin and death. His descent into the grave was not the end, but a necessary part of His flight into victory.

When the eagle ascends, it rises with strength, gliding effortlessly to the heights. Jesus’ resurrection was like the eagle’s flight—He rose with renewed strength, triumphant over death, with all power in heaven and earth. After being in the tomb, He soared out of it with divine purpose, empowering us to do the same.

The eagle does not return to the ground after it has soared to great heights; it ascends to the highest altitudes, always rising higher. Similarly, after His resurrection, Jesus ascended to the Father, taking His place in the highest position of authority at the right hand of God. And from there, He continues His work, interceding for us and empowering us to rise to the heights He has ordained for us.

Jesus did not stay bound to the grave. He rose, He ascended, and now, He is alive forevermore. The same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead is the same Spirit that strengthens us to rise above every circumstance. As believers, we too are called to ascend to greater heights, moving from glory to glory, as we wait upon the Lord and are empowered by the Holy Spirit.

THINGS TO NOTE

  1. Jesus’ Death Was Not the End.

Just as the eagle uses the storm to rise higher, Jesus used His death to secure victory over sin and death. His resurrection is the beginning of our flight into victory.

  1. The Resurrection: A New Beginning.

Jesus’ resurrection parallels the eagle’s ascent. Rising from the ashes, He is now empowered with all authority in heaven and earth, enabling us to rise with Him.

  1. Jesus Ascended, So Will We.

Just as the eagle ascends to great heights, Jesus ascended to the Father, marking a new chapter of His eternal reign. We are called to rise with Him, ascending spiritually to higher realms.

  1. The Spirit Lifts Us Higher.

Just as the eagle relies on the wind to soar, we rely on the Holy Spirit to carry us higher. We must continuously be in tune with the Spirit to ascend to the heights of glory and grace.

DAILY PURPOSE NOTE

Today, I choose to reflect on the power of Jesus’ death, resurrection, and ascension. As He rose, so shall I rise. I will trust in the Holy Spirit to lift me higher, and I will keep ascending to greater heights in His glory.

DAILY PROPHETIC DECLARATION

  1. Father, I thank You for the victory of the cross and the power of the resurrection.
  2. Holy Spirit, carry me to new heights. Help me rise like the eagle and soar in the power of Your grace.
  3. Jesus, I declare that I will not be bound by the past but will ascend with You into the fullness of glory and power.
  4. I receive the strength of the Holy Spirit to rise above every storm, just as You overcame death and rose in victory.
  5. Today, I decree that I am not stuck in the valley but ascending to higher altitudes in Christ.
