Matthew 28:5-6
"And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified. He is not here for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay."
Teaching Message
The resurrection of Jesus Christ is the crowning event of the entire redemptive story. Without it, the cross would remain a tale of suffering. But with it, the cross becomes the doorway into a life that death can never touch. The resurrection is heaven's seal of approval — the declaration that every sacrifice was accepted, every price was paid, and the power of death has been shattered once and for all.
Matthew 28:5-6, "And the angel answered and said unto the women Fear not ye for I know that ye seek Jesus which was crucified He is not here for he is risen as he said come see the place where the Lord lay."
These are not just words of comfort — they are the announcement of a new era. The stone was rolled away not to let Jesus out (He did not need permission to leave), but to let humanity look in and see: the tomb is empty. Death has lost. Life has won.
The resurrection is the Father's public declaration that Jesus is exactly who He said He was.
Romans 1:4, "And declared to be the Son of God with power according to the spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead."
When Jesus rose, He did not simply return to the life He had before. He rose in a dimension of victory, authority, and power that had never been seen on earth. And here is what should make your heart leap: that same life — that resurrection life — has been imparted to you.
The life released through the resurrection is not ordinary life. It is not merely biological existence. It is divine life — the very life of God poured into the spirit of every believer.
John 10:10, "The thief cometh not but for to steal and to kill and to destroy I am come that they might have life and that they might have it more abundantly."
Abundant life. Overflowing life. Life that conquers limitation, defeats decay, and produces victory in every dimension. You were never meant to drag through your days weighed down by defeat, because the life of the risen Christ is flowing through you right now.
The resurrection also announces the total defeat of death — and not just physical death. Death in Scripture represents stagnation, failure, sickness, hopelessness, barrenness, and every form of limitation. When Jesus rose, He conquered every expression of death at once.
1 Corinthians 15:54-55, "So when this corruptible shall have put on incorruption and this mortal shall have put on immortality then shall be brought to pass the saying that is written Death is swallowed up in victory O death where is thy sting O grave where is thy victory."
That is the language of triumph, beloved. Death has lost its sting. The grave has forfeited its victory. You now live under the dominion of life, governed by a higher law — the law of the Spirit of life — that overrides every law of death and decay.
The resurrection also establishes your new identity. You are no longer defined by your failures, your past, or your old nature. You have been remade.
2 Corinthians 5:17, "Therefore if any man be in Christ he is a new creature old things are passed away behold all things are become new."
You are not trying to become new — you already are new. The resurrection life within you has given you a new nature, new capacity, and new spiritual DNA. You have the power to live above sin, above fear, and above every limitation that once held you.
And the power behind all of this is not distant or theoretical. It is alive and active within you at this very moment.
Romans 8:11, "But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you."
Let that land. The same Spirit that raised a dead man from the grave lives inside you. That power energizes your spirit, strengthens your body, and breathes life into every area connected to your destiny. Nothing remains dead where resurrection power is at work.
The resurrection also seats you in a position of authority. Jesus did not just rise — He rose victorious over every opposing force in existence.
Colossians 2:15, "And having spoiled principalities and powers he made a shew of them openly triumphing over them in it."
And here is the remarkable thing: you are a beneficiary of that triumph. You are not fighting to win — you are fighting from a position where victory has already been secured.
Ephesians 2:6, "And hath raised us up together and made us sit together in heavenly places in Christ Jesus."
You are seated with Christ. Above fear. Above oppression. Above limitation. Above every name that tries to name itself over your life. That is not wishful thinking — it is your position in the Spirit.
The resurrection also gives your life a mission. Jesus did not rise just so you could feel good. He rose so that His life could be demonstrated through you in the earth.
Mark 16:15, "And he said unto them Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature."
You are a carrier of resurrection power. Your life is meant to be a demonstration that Jesus Christ is alive. Your words should carry life. Your actions should reflect victory. Your presence should release hope wherever you go.
Acts 4:33, "And with great power gave the apostles witness of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus and great grace was upon them all."
This is your assignment: to bear witness, to manifest power, to demonstrate grace. Resurrection life is not a theory to study — it is a reality to live and display.
And finally, the resurrection establishes unshakeable hope. No situation is beyond the reach of a God who raises the dead. Every dead circumstance, every dry place, every area where life seems to have left — all of it is subject to His resurrection power.
Ezekiel 37:5, "Thus saith the Lord God unto these bones Behold I will cause breath to enter into you and ye shall live."
Reject hopelessness. Refuse the narrative that says your situation is permanent. The God of resurrection specializes in breathing life into dead things.
Philippians 3:10, "That I may know him and the power of his resurrection and the fellowship of his sufferings being made conformable unto his death."
This is the invitation: to know Him — not just facts about Him, but the living experience of His resurrection power at work in your daily life. Because He lives, you live. Because He rose, you rise. Because death could not hold Him, limitation cannot hold you.
Resurrection life is your reality. Superior life is your inheritance. Walk in it today.
