Know ye not that ye are the temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you.
Teaching Message
The presence of the Holy Spirit is the real manifestation of God living within the believer. 1 Corinthians 3:16 states that believers are God’s temples and that His Spirit resides in them. This indwelling is not passive; it is lively, interactive, and transformative. It offers guidance, teaches truth, empowers service, and shows spiritual gifts. To ignore or resist His presence limits one’s spiritual experience and impact.
The Holy Spirit’s presence brings peace and comfort amid chaos. Isaiah 26:3, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. When believers recognize and invite the Spirit into every situation, they encounter supernatural calmness, clear thinking, and divine guidance, even in tough times.
The presence of the Holy Spirit empowers believers to live righteously. Romans 8:9, But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. Being aware of the Spirit’s presence encourages godly behavior, changes character, and aligns actions with God’s will.
The presence of the Holy Spirit opens the believer to divine insight. Ephesians 1:17-18, That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints. When the Spirit is present, understanding deepens, spiritual insight grows, and the mysteries of God’s Word become clear.
The presence of the Holy Spirit guarantees empowerment for divine assignments. Acts 1:4-5, And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence. The same Spirit that empowers ministry and miraculous acts lives in every believer who welcomes His presence.
To nurture an awareness of the Holy Spirit’s presence, a believer must practice ongoing communion, obedience, and attentiveness to His guidance. His presence is the source of joy, direction, protection, and supernatural power, making it vital to live with awareness of His indwelling constantly.
When a believer is aware of the Holy Spirit’s presence, they live in divine favor, witness miraculous interventions, and achieve purposes beyond natural ability. The Holy Spirit’s presence changes routine existence into a life of influence, impact, and supernatural victory.
