Psalm 121:1 to 2
“I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the Lord which made heaven and earth.”
As we begin 2026, the Spirit of God invites us to embrace a foundational truth that should guide our thoughts throughout the year. God alone is the true Source of all help. He is the Fountain that never runs dry. He is the Supplier who never fails. He is the Strength that never weakens. Until a person understands this truth, they chase shadows and rely on broken supports. When someone embraces this truth, they enter a realm of unstoppable grace, undeniable uplift, and supernatural help.
The Psalmist looked up and asked an insightful question. It was not a question from confusion but from a spiritually wise believer who learned to never assume. The hills represented places where people sought help. They also represented where kings resided, where armies gathered, and where resources were stationed. They symbolized human strength and national pride. Yet after observing the hills, he confidently declared that no help comes from there. His help, real help, lasting help, supernatural help, covenant help, and unfailing help come only from the Lord.
The Lord who created the heavens and the earth is the same One who holds your 2026 in His hands. He is the Alpha at the start of your journey and the Omega who sees it through. He is the Covenant Keeper who walks with you into every month, every task, every challenge, and every opportunity. If He made heaven and earth, nothing in your year is beyond His ability to rearrange, rebuild, repair, restore, or elevate. True help is not a gift from men. True help is the expression of God’s mercy, the flow of His favor, and the demonstration of His covenant.
Many people spend their lives trying to get others to help them. They beg, manipulate, worry, and scheme, yet nothing changes. But when someone turns their eyes to God, something miraculous happens. God raises helpers from unexpected places. He touches hearts, opens doors, and reminds people of you. He places opportunities in your path. He sends angels into action. He shifts circumstances to benefit you. He puts your name in the right conversations. Help is not something you achieve; it is something God gives.
This year, the Lord will provide help to you. He will send people chosen for your rise. He will present resources that fit His purpose for your life. He will create paths that only He could have designed. You will not struggle into success. You will be helped into success. You will not fight alone; you will receive help in the battle. You will not walk solo; you will be assisted on your journey. You will not rise by your own strength; you will rise by His help.
Learn to rest in Him. Speak His Word. Trust His power. Base your confidence on His covenant. When you recognize God as the only true Source of help, everything in your life will align to reflect His greatness. This year will respond to you because the God who helps is leading the way.
