Day 316: NOV 12TH: PRAISE – THE LANGUAGE OF FAITH AND VICTORY
Scripture
Habakkuk 3:17-18
Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls. Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.
DAILY WISDOM
Faith-filled praise is the highest proof of confidence in God’s unfailing power.
MESSAGE
Faith is the master key to victory, but praise is the voice of faith. A silent faith often struggles, while a praising faith overcomes. Praise is not just a song sung after a win; it is the declaration that you have already won before seeing the evidence. It is the joyful sound of a spirit that refuses to be defeated by circumstances.
Habakkuk shows us a powerful picture of faith in Habakkuk 3:17-18, “Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines... Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.”
Here stands a prophet amidst lack, drought, and failure, yet he bursts forth in praise. Why? Because praise relies on who God is, not on what you have. True praise is not merely an emotional reaction; it is a spiritual revelation. It is a choice made in faith, knowing God remains faithful regardless of the situation.
When faith matures, it sings. When faith grows strong, it rejoices. Praise reflects inward assurance. You cannot claim to have faith while remaining silent in despair. The sound of faith is one of thanksgiving and praise. Faith rejoices while waiting; fear complains while waiting.
Romans 4:20-21, “He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief but was strong in faith, giving glory to God; and being fully persuaded that what he had promised, he was able also to perform.”
Abraham's faith did not weaken because he learned to give glory to God before seeing Isaac. Each time he praised, he nurtured the seed of his hope. His praise kept his faith alive, and his faith led to a miracle. Praise accelerates faith. It builds your confidence and speeds up your results.
Faith without praise becomes mechanical. But when you add praise to faith, it becomes powerful. Praise completes faith by sealing your trust in God’s integrity. When you praise amid uncertainty, Heaven acknowledges your confidence and acts in your favor.
Psalm 106:12, “Then believed they his words; they sang his praise.”
Faith and praise always belong together. Believing without praising is incomplete faith. When you believe, you must also rejoice. When you are convinced, you must celebrate. That shows you truly trust the Almighty.
Your praise becomes a prophetic declaration. It proclaims that your God is bigger than your battle, stronger than your storm, and wiser than your worries. Singing praises during tough times reminds both Heaven and hell that your victory is assured.
Paul and Silas understood this secret in Acts 16:25-26, “And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God; and the prisoners heard them. And suddenly there was a great earthquake so that the foundations of the prison were shaken.”
Notice their praise was loud enough to change the atmosphere. They did not wait for rescue to sing; they sang to bring it about. That is faith in action. Faith sings in chains; unbelief whines in trouble.
When you praise God when nothing is working, you prove that you believe He is still at work. Choosing gratitude in pain says, “Lord, You are faithful, even when I don’t see it.” That kind of praise can move mountains and open prison doors.
Praise is not the language of comfort; it is the language of faith. It is what faith says when everything else is quiet. The devil fears when you sing instead of sigh, dance instead of despair, and rejoice instead of retreat. Praise showcases your faith.
So, when your faith feels weak, turn to praise. When your hope seems lost, sing your way back to strength. When life feels heavy, lift your hands and magnify the Lord. Faith-filled praise confuses the enemy and honors God in your situation. It is the melody that shatters fear's grip and brings forth victory.
When you live in a spirit of continuous praise, your faith will stay strong. Your heart will feel light, your spirit will stay intact, and your testimony will be unstoppable. Each time you praise, you declare, “God is still faithful.” And every time you do, Heaven responds with wonders.
