Day 293: OCT 20TH: THE VOICE OF GOD IN THE MIDST OF RUINS

Scripture
Isaiah 30:21
And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when ye turn to the right hand, and when ye turn to the left.
DAILY WISDOM
The ruins of life are never final for the person who can still hear the voice of God.
MESSAGE
In every season of ruins and confusion, the most valuable treasure you can have is the voice of God. His voice offers comfort, direction, instruction, and restoration. Many paths fail not because of intense battles, but because people stop hearing God’s voice. When His voice is silenced in your life, you walk in darkness. But when His voice is alive in your spirit, you always find the way back to restoration and glory.
Isaiah 30:21 promises that our ears will hear a word behind us, saying, “This is the way, walk ye in it.” This is not a human voice, but the voice of God Himself, guiding His children in uncertain times. It serves as the compass of destiny, the light in the valley, the strength in weakness, and the anchor in stormy seasons. Ruins stay in ruins until God speaks. When He speaks, you receive direction, confusion fades, and restoration starts.
The ruins of Israel in the wilderness lasted longer because they refused to listen to His voice. Hebrews 3:15 warns us, “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.” The real tragedy of ruins is not their presence, but the stubborn hearts that resist divine guidance. Restoration begins as soon as you humble yourself to listen and follow.
Abraham heard God’s voice and left Haran for his destiny. Moses heard God’s voice from the burning bush and became a deliverer. Samuel heard God’s voice as a child and rose as a prophet to a nation. Paul heard Christ’s voice on the road to Damascus and became an apostle to the nations. Every restoration in scripture began with an encounter with God’s voice.
Beloved, if your destiny needs restoration, you must train your ears to hear Him. His voice comes through His word, the inner witness of the Spirit, dreams and visions, and the preaching of His servants. Do not take His voice for granted. Don’t delay your obedience. The voice of God is not just a guide but a lifeline.
When ruins surround you, don’t panic. Listen. The Spirit of God always speaks a word that shows the way forward. He does not let His people remain confused. He is a shepherd who leads His sheep. John 10:27 states, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.” This is your heritage as a child of God — to hear His voice and follow His lead.
The ruins in your life are not final if you can still hear Him. His word will turn your wilderness into a garden. His instruction will turn your famine into abundance. His guidance will lead you from ruins into glory. What you need most is not a thousand helpers but one word from God. When that word comes, every broken wall will be rebuilt, every scattered stone will find its place, and every ruin will shine with His glory again.
KEY LEARNING POINTS
- THE VOICE OF GOD IS THE COMPASS OF DESTINY
Isaiah 30:21, “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it…”
The voice of God is the divine compass that keeps you from wandering in ruins. One word from Him is enough to change an entire destiny.
- IGNORING THE VOICE OF GOD EXTENDS RUINS
Hebrews 3:15, “Today if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as in the provocation.”
Ruins last longer when people harden their hearts. The voice of God always carries the answer, but disobedience prolongs the pain.
- RESTORATION BEGINS WITH DIVINE INSTRUCTION
Luke 5:5, “And Simon answering said unto him, Master, we have toiled all the night, and have taken nothing: nevertheless at thy word I will let down the net.”
Peter’s turnaround came from one instruction. Ruins end when divine guidance is followed.
- HIS VOICE IS THE LIGHT IN DARKNESS
Psalm 119:105, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
The darkness of ruins is broken when His word shines. The voice of God lights your path and keeps your steps from slipping.
- HIS SHEEP HEAR HIS VOICE
John 10:27, “My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”
Every believer can hear God. It is not just for a few but for all His sheep. Restoration starts when you listen to His voice.
- OBEYING HIS VOICE SECURES GLORY
Deuteronomy 28:1, “And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God… that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth.”
The voice of God not only restores but also elevates. Obeying His voice moves you from ruins to heights of glory.
DAILY PURPOSE NOTE
The voice of God is the greatest treasure in times of ruins. Seek it, listen to it, and obey it. His voice will always lead you from ruins into glory.
