The Assignment of the Sealing Man

Scripture Focus: “nd the LORD said unto him, Go through the midst of the city, through the midst of Jerusalem, and set a mark upon the foreheads of the men that sigh and cry for all the abominations that be done in the midst thereof.” – (Ezekiel 9:2)

Opening Message:

Today, we reflect on the assignment of the man with the inkhorn. His task was to go through the city and seal those who mourned over the abominations in the land. This mark was a symbol of protection, a divine seal that set God’s people apart from judgment. In the same way, as we enter 2025, we are sealed by the blood of Jesus. This seal is our divine protection from destruction. It is the mark of God’s favor, preservation, and authority over our lives.

The remaining five leaders in Ezekiel’s vision were tasked with executing judgment, bringing destruction upon the land. However, the man with the inkhorn had a different mission: to ensure that God’s people were preserved. We are God’s people, and His protection is our guarantee. Whatever the enemy plans, God’s mark upon us ensures that we will not be touched by evil.

Points to Note:

  1. God’s seal is a divine protection for His people, ensuring their preservation from judgment.
  2. We are marked by the blood of Jesus for safety, favor, and divine exemption from destruction.
  3. God has provided a way of escape for His people, even in the midst of trouble.

  1. Father, I thank You for sealing me with the blood of Jesus, marking me for protection.
